Watch: Chris Webber Disses Kentucky’s Willie Cauley-Stein Hard On Radio

willie cauley stein chris webber rt floatFormer University of Michigan standout and NBA All Star Chris Webber has been trying to make his bones as an NBA and college hoops analyst ever since he retired from the Association, back in 2008.

Personally, I was a huge fan of Webber on the court as one of the original members of Michigan’s famed Fab Five freshmen, then as a 5 time NBA All Star, most notably with the Warriors, Bullets/Wizards, and Kings. Those Sacramento teams of the mid-late 90’s were arguably one of the most talented squads of the era that didn’t win an NBA Title.

Webber recently made some rather stunning remarks about 1st Team NCAA All American Willie Cauley-Stein, stating that the Kentucky big man “Would never be a starting player” and “hopes he will have an NBA career.”

The comments came out during a call-in interview on ESPN’s Mike and Mike yesterday, as Webber commented on WCS’s comparison to LA Clippers athletic big man DeAndre Jordan. He also made some pretty salient points however regarding Kentucky’s place in history against some of the greatest all-time college programs. Guess C-Webb is not a fan….
