Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin does not have the best luck in Arizona.
Kiffin added a national championship to his resume on Monday when the Crimson Tide won the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship with a 45-40 win over the Clemson Tigers, but not everything went smoothly for him that evening.
After the game, Crimson Tide buses left without conducting a head count. At the time, Kiffin was speaking to reporters and was unfortunately left behind. At least he could laugh about it.
“First, I get fired [by USC] on the tarmac, and now I get left behind at the national championship,” Kiffin said “half-jokingly.”
Eventually, Kiffin and his children were able to catch a ride.
Lane Kiffin helped #Alabama win the national title tonite yet just got left behind by the team buses.
