Jones is facing misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business, disorderly conduct and assault. He was also charged with harassment with a bodily substance for allegedly spitting on a nurse, a felony. Jones will be spending the night in jail because the nurse was not available to provide a DNA sample until Wednesday morning.
According to WCPO.com: “Jones denied all charges in court Tuesday morning, saying he has witnesses that will help him debunk charges of assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business after he was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.”

The Enquirer reported that Jones was accused of allegedly assaulting a man by pushing him and poking him in the eye. He then refused to stop when ordered, and is accused of refusing to enter the police car “while kicking and head-butting.” Jones then capped his night by picking up the felony charge for allegedly spitting on a nurse at the jail, according to the complaints.
Jones has been a good cornerback for the Bengals the past few years, starting all 16 games in 2016 and he hadn’t been in serious trouble in a long time. Should he face league discipline, the Bengals will likely turn to William Jackson III, Darqueze Dennard and Josh Shaw to fill in.
