Tempers flared between boxers Amir Khan and Phil Lo Greco during a press conference in Liverpool, England to announce their April 21 bout.
At the pre-fight promotional press conference, Phil Lo Greco spoke of Khan’s past marital issues with wife Faryal Makhdoom. Khan took exception to the comments and proceeded to throw a glass of water at the Canadian’s face, bringing the press conference to a brief halt.

Security jumped in and promoter Eddie Hearn asked Lo Greco to apologize while Khan later said his rival’s behaviour would serve as motivation. As for Khan, he refused to apologize for throwing water but did say sorry to those in attendance.
Khan said: “I will train like it’s a world-title fight. Greco says maybe I’m past my best. I’m 31 and at the peak of my career. For me boxing is the way forward. Boxing put me here and I am going to finish on a high.”
Lo Greco, meanwhile, has won 28 of 31 professional fights. He has already been beaten by Spence Jnr, Shawn Porter and Joseph Elegele and is the heavy underdog for the April 21 showdown.
