Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask has been granted a leave of absence by the team. He will most likely miss the Bruins games this weekend.
After Fridays practice, which Tuukka did not attend, the team released a one sentence statement stating that Rask was being granted a leave of absence.
The statement stated that Rask was dealing with a “personal matter,” and general manager Don Sweeney did not elaborate when he met with reporters, saying only that the issue is not health-related.
“it’s important to respect his privacy and allow him to deal with it for the next few days,” Sweeney said.

Tuukka Rask has started only seven of the Bruins’ 15 games this season and acknowledged being outplayed recently by Jaroslav Halak.
The Bruins will host Toronto on Saturday and Vegas on Sunday. Jaroslav Halak will be in nets for both games.
