Daniel Jacobs In my opinion, Daniel Jacobs should be the only name mentioned as an opponent for the winner of Gennady Golovkin vs. Saul Alvarez. I had him beating Golovkin earlier this year, seven rounds to five. I think his frame and movement would cause Alvarez major problems.
Demetrius Andrade The 2008 Olympian is still undefeated as a professional and has an impressive collections of wins at 154 pounds. I think the lanky southpaw could be the top fighter in the world between 148 and 160 pounds, if he can ever get the opportunities to prove it.
Erislandy Lara I thought Lara deserved to win against Canelo when they fought in July 2014. But Lara did himself no favors with the judges, throwing punches at a ridiculously low rate. Worse, he left himself tagged as an “unexciting” fighter for the casual fans.
Rances Barthelemy The undefeated Cuban was a top fighter at 130 pounds. At 5’11” and with a reach of 73″, he has now moved up and floats between lightweight and super lightweight. I could see him providing a tough opponent for Vasyl Lomachenko, Mikey Garcia or Terence Crawford.
