Less than three days after “the scariest night” of his life, Bud Cauley says he’s “thankful to be alive.”
Former Alabama golf star and current PGA Tour golfer Bud Cauley was hospitalized with multiple injuries following a single-car accident in which he was the passenger. Cauley suffered five broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a broken leg.
The accident apparently happened in Dublin, Ohio, where the Memorial is taking place.
Cauley is one of just a handful of players including Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson to earn his PGA Tour card by playing on sponsor’s exemptions after turning pro. He has played at least 14 events on the PGA Tour in each of the last six seasons.
