49ers GM John Lynch has a chance to make a splash in next month’s NFL Draft.
The Niners, who already have 10 picks in the draft are willing to trade their highest pick for additional ones. Lynch is looking to build a roster for the future after the 49ers have struggled the past three seasons.
“We could stay pat right there and find a fabulous player, a game-changing player,” Lynch said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “It gives us a lot of flexibility to do some other things if we chose to be bold. There are going to be people that covet the pick we have, so there’s going to be some people that want to move up.”
Lynch has plenty of options but the more draft picks the better and although the team is hoping the new leadership will create a change in culture, they could use an influx of talent and a trade for more picks could be beneficial.
Regardless of what they decide, San Francisco needs impact players who can help them return to contention.
