Blues Place Paul Stastny On Injured Reserve With Broken Foot

The St. Louis Blues have placed veteran forward Paul Stastny on injured reserve with a broken right foot. Stastny was injured on October 16th while playing against the Vancouver Canucks. He will be out for at least five weeks.

Paul Stastny, the 29-year old veteran, was off to a good start this season with one goal and four assists in five games. This is a big loss for the St. Louis Blues.

Scott Gomez has stepped up to take a larger role now that Robby Fabbri and Paul Stastny are out. He will need to keep doing so if the St. Louis Blues are to remain atop the Central Division.
