Tiger Woods has to be the most injured golfer in history. Woods will be out until 2016 after undergoing another back surgery. It was made public that he needed surgery, but how long he would be out is still in question. Given all his body has gone through physically, it’s a foregone conclusion that he’ll never be the same again.
Tiger Woods announced Friday that he will be out until “early 2016” after he underwent a second microdiscectomy procedure on his back.
The surgery, performed in Utah on Sept. 16 by Dr. Charles Rich, comes just 18 months after Woods had a similar procedure performed on March 31, 2014.
“This is certainly disappointing, but I’m a fighter,” Woods said. “I’ve been told I can make a full recovery, and I have no doubt that I will.”
