Chicago Cubs outfielder, Ben Zobrist has earned World Series MVP honors.

He was handed the trophy on Thursday after helping the Cubs win their first title since 1908. This is Zobrist’s second straight World Series, the first was last season with the Kansas City Royals.

“It’s a team game and I can’t believe I get the opportunity to hold this trophy,” he told reporters postgame.

Zobrist joined the Cubs as a free agent this offseason. He signed a four-year, $56-million deal.

“Ben is a winning baseball player,” Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein said. ”His offense, his defense, his baserunning. He’s been one of the more valuable players in the game for a long time.”

Much of the Cubs win is thanks to Zobrist coming through with one of the most clutch hits baseball has ever seen.

Ben Zobrist, you are a hero in Chicago. Enjoy it.
