L.A. Dodgers pitcher Josh Ravin broke his arm in Arizona in a car crash on Monday. He will require surgery but luckily for Dodgers fans it is not his pitching arm.
Details about the crash have yet to emerge. What we do know is that the 28-year old suffered a broken left radius and will require surgery. No word on how long he’ll be sidelined, but he’s likely looking at a significant absence.
Ravin was selected in the fifth round of the 2006 draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He appeared in nine games out of the Dodgers’ bullpen in 2015, posting a 6.75 ERA and 12/4 K/BB ratio over 9 1/3 innings.
