Hunter Pence has been kind of a disappointment with the very disappointing Phillies, so they have traded him from Philly to the San Francisco Giants, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Last year, the Phillies sent some minor league prospects to the Houston Astros in exchange for Pence. The Phillies hoped that they’d win a World Series with Pence’s bat in the lineup. However, he batted .219 with no home runs against the Cardinals in the postseason.

Philadelphia’s bats have struggled without Ryan Howard and Chase Utley in the lineup. Pence has been alright, but he hasn’t lived up to his standards this season. Pence has a .271 average, 17 homers, and 59 RBI.
