Former Yankees catcher Jorge Posada is making his rounds these days because he is promoting his new book which chronicles his time in Pinstripes. To that end, Posada was on CBS’ “This Morning” today where he was asked about his former teammate, Alex Rodriguez.
Specifically, Posada was asked if he thinks Rodriguez should be a hall of famer. His answer sounds pretty definitive and sounds like there may be some more deep-routed feelings towards A-Rod.
“No, I don’t think it’s fair for the guys that have been in the Hall of Fame … who played the game clean,” said Posada, while hyping his new book “The Journey Home: My Life in Pinstripes.”
“I don’t think it’s fair, I really don’t. I think the guys that need to be in the Hall of Fame need to be a player who played with no controversy.”
