Buster Posey, catcher for the San Francisco Giants, dove headfirst into third base with a brutal slide. It wasn’t pretty to watch but it got the job done.
The Giants and Marlins played an extra-inning in Miami Monday night, and Giants star Buster Posey did some damage to his face in the top of the 11th inning with a slide into third base. Posey went head-first into third, and his helmet flipped off as it caught the edge of the base.
It hasn’t been an easy week for the Giants. On Saturday, Hunter Pence took a foul ball to the face and now this.
