Brock Lesnar has just received a 1 year suspension and a $250k fine for two failed drug tests.
At UFC 200 Lesnar beat Mark Hunt but it was later announced that he had failed not one, but two drug tests. One prior to the fight, the other on fight night.
Today the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced his punishment but luckily for him his suspension was retroactive. As per the settlement agreement, Lesnar does not admit liability in the failed tests. He “vehemently denied” knowingly taken any banned substances in public documents submitted to the NSAC by his attorneys.
While Lesnar’s UFC future is unclear, he will be eligible to compete in the summer of 2017 should he and the promotion reach an agreement.
