The UFC / Conor McGregor saga is a never ending one. Last week McGregor was dropped from UFC 200 for not agreeing to participate in required promotional duties. Then later he announced he was retiring, but really wasn’t. And now McGregor announced via twitter that his UFC 200 fight against Diaz was back on only for White to refute it.
Early Monday morning Conor McGregor tweeted the following:

Which is great…if only it were true.
According to multiple sources and John Morgan of MMAjunkie “nothing changed in regard to [McGregor’s] exclusion from UFC 200.”
UFC President Dana White spoke with TMZ this morning and said “It’s not true. We haven’t talked to Conor or his manager since the press conference. I don’t know why he would tweet that.” He even went on to add that “All the media keeps asking me that. I feel like the scene in ‘Step Brothers’ when they ask if they can build the bunk beds. I don’t know how many more times I can say the fight is off or how many more press conferences I can have saying the fight is off for people to believe it’s off.”
So what is really going on with McGregor and Dana White? Is this whole UFC 200 drama a publicity stunt? According to Dana White it’s not and there is no fight, but it seems like McGregor hasn’t received the memo or is just plain refusing to believe it…
