Ronda Rousey Given A 6 Month Medical Suspension

Ronda Rousey

Former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was handed a medical suspension by the UFC after her stunning loss to Holly Holm. Rousey received a minmum 60 day suspension from fighting with 45 days of no contact training. She could, however, be suspended for as long as 180 days (6 months) depending on the results of her head CT scan.

Ronda Rousey suffered her first loss as an MMA fighter via a second-round knockout. She received a devastating head kick and a flurry of punches by Holly Holm. Both Rousey and her coach Edmond Tarverdyan have mentioned that the plan is for her to take some time to rest. She has had three fights within the last three months.

Rousey took to Instagram after the medical suspension was handed out to thank her fans for their support.
