WWE has announced that Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon has made good on her promise that Brock Lesnar would face repercussions for his actions on Randy Orton during SummerSlam. She felt he had “absolutely crossed the line” and because of it has fined Brock Lesnar $500.
Lesnar won the match by technical knockout after repeated elbows to Orton’s skull.
Some believed that Lesnar’s attack on Orton was part of the show and that WWE planned to end the match that way, but numerous reports after SummerSlam stated that WWE veteran Chris Jericho confronted Lesnar immediately after the match.
Shane McMahon tried to stop Lesnar and protect his SmackDown star, but Lesnar responded by hitting McMahon with an F5.
Will this punishment be enough to satiate Shane McMahon’s, Smackdown’s commissioner? Well whatever Smackdown and Shane McMahon think about the punishment, I highly doubt the $500 fine will affect Lesnar, especially considering that he is the second highest-paid wrestler on the roster as a part-timer.
