The Toronto police service have issued an arrest warrant for Chelsea loanee Lucas Piazon and Andrey Ventura, two members of the Brazilian men’s soccer team that competed this summer at the Pan Am Games. Lucas Piazon allegedly sexually assaulted a 21-year-old along with teammate Andrey Ventura.
The assault would have taken place on Saturday July 25th. The 20-year-old victim and her friend met the men at a downtown club after which they accompanied the women back to their residence. The alleged sexual attack would have taken place while the victim was sleeping.
The men were in Toronto for the Pan Am Games that took place between July 10 and 26. Both men returned to Brazil on July 27.
In order to face charges, Lucas Piazon and Andrey Ventura would have to be extradited to Canada. Piazon is currently in the UK, on loan with Championship side Reading. It is still unclear whether or not Canada will attempt to extradite him.
