The NBA has suspended Houston Rockets point guard Ty Lawson three games for his DUI arrest in Los Angeles on July 14 of last year.
This is Lawson’s second suspension this season. He was suspended two games back in December for a DUI in Colorado last January.
Ty Lawson was playing for the Denver Nuggets when both incidents occurred. He has since been traded to the Houston Rockets.
With this latest suspension, Ty Lawson is expected to miss tonight’s game against Utah, Sunday against Indiana and Tuesday against Memphis.
Lawson has had issues with alcohol and substance abuse. He was arrested four times for suspicion of DUI back when he was in college at North Carolina, but since his trade to Houston he has been able to stay out of trouble.
