At this point, it’s become evident that Tony Romo has issues staying healthy. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where he plays a full 16-game season again in his future. To that end, the Cowboys should probably think about his eventual replacement, because that person is not currently on the roster.
According to former Cowboy Troy Aikman, he thinks Jerry Jones will go after either Johnny Manziel or Robert Griffin III. This is definitely believable, as Jones nearly drafted Manziel a few years ago.
“I believe, as I sit here today, either Johnny Manziel or Robert Griffin III will be in Dallas as a backup.”
