Teddy Bridgewater Cleared to Practice

After a devastating knee injury and surgery in 2016, Teddy Bridgewater has finally been cleared to practice.

Minnesota has three weeks to either add the quarterback to the roster or shut him down for the season, and according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Vikings plan to activate him and expect him to be playing this season.

Bridgewater dislocated his left knee and tore his ACL during an August 2016 training-camp practice and the injury required a multi-ligament reconstruction. This has been a near-miraculous recovery for him as his career was believed to be in serious jeopardy.

If Bridgewater returns, the timing couldn’t be better for the Vikings, who appear set to start Case Keenum for the foreseeable future with Sam Bradford struggling to recover from a knee injury.
