The QB dynamic in Philly has be uncomfortable these days. What’s the conversation like between Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz out there on the field? Bradford wanted out because the Eagles were about to draft the apparent future QB of the franchise, which they ultimately did.
It’s naive to think that a rookie QB can jump right in there and be successful from day one. It just doesn’t happen that often. To that end, who knows if Bradford will definitely be the starter week 1, or if Doug Pederson will be prepping Carzon Wentz. Either way, Wentz sounds like he’ll be ready.
“It’s totally out of my control,” Wentz said after the first practice of training camp (see observations). “We’ve got a long camp ahead of us, we’ve got a lot of work to put in and the biggest thing I’m focused on is helping this team get better and getting myself better.
“I can guarantee that whenever my number is called, I’ll be ready.”
