Report: Cowboys Considering Taking a QB at #4

Dallas Cowboys

Tony Romo had a plate inserted in his troublesome collarbone in hopes that he will not break that bone again. This has been a repeated issue for the Dallas QB, who is nearing the end of his career.

When on the field, he’s clearly the best QB Dallas has on their roster. We saw proof of that last year as Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel struggled to gain any offensive momentum while Romo was out. Stagnant doesn’t even begin to explain last season’s offense without Romo.

But because of their dismal season, the Cowboys are now owners of the fourth overall pick in this year’s NFL draft. There is a growing thought that the team will take a QB at that slot. The likelihood of Romo playing 16 games this season is slim, so this is surely worth a look for Jerry Jones. But are there any QBs in this draft truly worthy of taking that high?

According to one source, there is a “growing sense” within the Dallas Cowboys that they will draft a quarterback with the No. 4 pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
