Athletes get motivated in all different kinds of ways. It could be trash talk from opponents, badmouthing by the media and fans, among others. Then there’s Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams who was released by the Panthers last offseason after spending his entire career there. He proved to have a very solid year in Pittsburgh, be he uses the termination letter the Panthers gave him as motivation. It’s not often we get a peak behind the curtain and see just how the team communicates with a player they are letting go.
