Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson announced that he will be placing his franchise for sale. Richardson is currently being investigated over sexual and racial misconduct allegations made by several of his employees.
Immediately after the statement was released, Sean “Diddy” Combs announced his intention to purchase the team. Should he purchase the team he would become the NFL’s first majority African-American owner. He also said he hopes to buy the Carolina Panthers so he can sign Colin Kaepernick.
I would like to buy the @Panthers. Spread the word. Retweet!

But despite his desire to buy the team, he might come into problems. According to The New York Daily News, the Panthers team is worth $120 million while Diddy is worth $820 million. NFL teams also normally sell for more than their reported value so if Diddy is really serious about buying the team he will need to find himself some partners.
