Great 2020 NFL Draft Prospects That Are Expected To Be Better Than 2019’s Rookie Stars

Whenever talking about an NFL draft, it is hard not to think about what will happen in the following year. Every single time there are some prospects that are expected to be better and 2020 is no different. If we are to look on and similar, ratings keep changing but we do have some clear prospects that we have to look at.

Chase Young

Ohio State keeps producing NFL players, like 2019’s number 2, Nick Bosa. We used to think it was about Urban Meyer, but now that he is gone we know it wasn’t just him. When Bosa was injured, sophomore Chase Young was put in. His breakout season was simply excellent. In college football, he quickly made a name for himself, standing out as the very best defensive player.

Specialists say that he is just too skilled and too fast for a college blocker to stop. His injury history is clean and he does have better athleticism than Nick Bosa.

Tua Tagovailoa

We saw 3 quarterbacks being drafted in the 2019 NFL draft first round. None of them had a really high singularly grade. Tua Tagovailoa is special. He is just like watching Steve Young or Drew Brees when they were really good. He is really smart, accurate, tough and mobile.

We cannot deny the fact that Tagavailoa is surrounded by great talent but we have to evaluate the traits he has. When we do that, we instantly realize he is a junior that has wonderful accuracy, high football IQ and an athletic, tough frame.

Jerry Jeudy

Jerry Jeude is the best receiver in the nation and has really precise skills. He is not what you may call a super-sized player. He is agile and really athletic. He basically has the burst, agility, balance and footwork to be even an incredible soccer player. Such skills are valuable in his position in football.

Jeudy is ranked really high among all prospects and can end up ranking higher than every single other guy in his position. Many say he is much better than 2019 prospects, like Marquise brown or A.J. Brown.

Grant Delpit

The NFL’s 2019 safety class was really good, with players like Taylor Rapp, Johnathan Abram and Darnell Savage. However, a safety was just drafted as number 21 overall pick. Even that was seen as a reach. When looking at Grant Delpit, he is athletic and can play away and near the scrimmage line.

It is very rare to see safeties picked in the top 5 but Delpit definitely has all the tools needed to change that, as long as he tests really well in predraft. The 40-yard dash is great and evaluators will love his agility.

Jeffrey Okudah

In 2019, the first cornerback was picked at position 30. Jeffrey Okudah from Ohio State might very well beat this. He is an athletic and fiery cornerback that is exactly what most NFL evaluators want to see playing in this position. Even when we compare him with other standouts from Ohio State, he ranks higher. This includes Gareon Conley, Marshon Lattimore and Denzel Ward. Okudah might be the most promosing defensive back in history.
