Quarterback Jay Cutler is seeking a second opinion in what is believed to be a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder.
Cutler’s shoulder injury was first reported on Monday, but specifics were not revealed, other than that it could potentially be season-ending.
This is his second injury of the season. He missed five games in September and October with a sprained thumb. The Bears have already lost quarterbacks Connor Shaw (broken leg) and Brian Hoyer (broken arm) to major injuries, leaving third-stringer Matt Barkley as the lone in-house replacement for Cutler, but in a move that indicates that Cutler will be out for some time, the Bears have added David Fales from the Ravens’ practice squad to backup Barkley.
