The son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen has been arrested for driving under the influence.
On Sunday, John Bowlen was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol and during the stop officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
As per TMZ, Bowlen was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI and will be released from custody Monday morning.
This isn’t his first run in with the law. Back in 2015 he was arrested for domestic violence and was also accused of hijacking the phone of his GF when she called 911. During the 911 call, John claimed to be the “blood of the city” and friends with the mayor, and assured officials nothing was wrong.
He was ultimately found guilty of harassment and sentenced to 2 years probation.
The Broncos have yet to comment on Bowlen’s arrest.
His father, Pat, still owns the Broncos, but is battling Alzheimer’s. Pat has expressed interest in transferring ownership to one of his seven children.
