If he’s ever able to remain healthy for an extended period of time, Le’Veon Bell may eventually be mentioned in the “best RB” category. But because he had to spend considerable amount of time in sweat pants, relative to how long he’s been in the NFL, we keep thinking “what if.”
Bell seems to think that part of the reason why he has been injured so often is because other teams have it out for him. Including division rival Cincinnati.
“I feel there are a lot of teams that try to do that, try to take me out of the game,” Le’veon bell said. “I don’t think it was just [Burfict]. It felt like the whole team was out there trying to twist my ankles and do little dirty stuff in between piles … I was ignorant to the fact at first.”
Bell noticed that the Bengals — one half of a vicious AFC North rivalry with Pittsburgh — were happy about Burfict’s tackle, which required Bell to leave the game on a cart.
This is a pretty damning statement made by Le’veon bell. He’s basically calling out teams and players for essentially being dirty. A wild guess here, but this may make opponents even more angry.
