The Patriots have lost another key starter and this time it’s for the season.
According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport the New England Patriots running back, LeGarrette Blount will be out for the remainder of the season with a hip injury. Blount suffered the injury during Sunday’s win over the Texans. He was spotted using crutches after the game. According to Tom Curran of CSN New England, the injury is very similar to what Chandler Jones dealt with in 2014.
The New England Patriots are currently one of the most injury-plagued teams in the league. The news came on the same day the team lost Dominique Easley for the season. Devin McCourty has a sprained ankle and Jonathan Freeny is out with a wrist injury. Fourteen Patriots are currently on injured reserve.
LeGarrette Blount has 703 yards and six touchdowns for the Patriots.
