According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Dianna Russini, the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady have agreed to terms on a two-year extension through the 2019 season which would offer him the opportunity to continue playing until he’s 42 year’s old.
There is no word yet on the financial terms of the deal. Brady is currently scheduled to cost $15 million against the Patriots’ 2016 cap and $16 million against the Patriots’ 2017 cap.
Even though Tom Brady is getting older, he is still playing well and has said he wants to play into his 40s.
Brady threw for 4,770 yards with 36 touchdowns and seven touchdowns while completing 64.4 percent of his passes in 2015. He led the Patriots to the AFC Championship Game, where they lost to the Denver Broncos.
