Ravens Expected to Sign Trent Richardson

Trent Richardson

Trent Richardson was out of football in 2015 after being cut by the Raiders in August. That means the third overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft has already flamed out. Or has he?

Richardson is reportedly drawing interest from the Baltimore Ravens. If you saw Richardson during his rookie season in Cleveland, you saw a lot of promise. But it’s been anything but since then. He’s still young enough to recapture that and still has value in a system where’s not a featured RB.

The Baltimore Ravens are looking to bring in running back Trent Richardson for a physical and possibly sign the former No. 3 overall pick, coach John Harbaugh confirmed Thursday at the NFL combine.

“It’s in the works. It’s possible,” Harbaugh said. “I don’t think it’s finalized yet. But it’s a possibility.”

A source told ESPN’s Shelley Smith that the Ravens are expected to sign Richardson, confirming a report by, which first reported the news.
