Mike Wallace is a speedster, who is supposed to stretch the team for an offense. In Miami and Minnesota, that hasn’t necessarily been the case. If you ask Wallace, it’s because he didn’t have the right kind of quarterback in Minnesota.
But now, he’s in Baltimore on a 2-year, $11.5 million deal and will be catching passes from Joe Flacco once he’s healthy again. Flacco has one of the strongest arms in the league, so let’s see if this makes a difference for Wallace. If not, there’s a common denominator.
It’s a solid pickup for the Ravens, who played minus a bona fide deep threat last season. Wallace turns 30 in August, but the eighth-year pro still houses the speed to make a difference in the right system.
