Tom Brady to Appeal 4-Game Suspension

tombradyNFL league offices didn’t waste much time in reacting to the recent findings of Tom Brady’s alleged involvement in the DeflateGate scandal. He has been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season. Some feel that’s too harsh and some feel that is not enough, but either way, Brady will appeal this ruling. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the suspension gets reduced via appeal but we’ll have to wait and see.

Brady’s agent, Don Yee, released a statement on Monday, vowing that Brady would appeal the four-game suspension. In the lengthy statement, Yee ripped the Wells Report and called Brady’s punishment “ridiculous.”

“The discipline is ridiculous and has no legitimate basis,” Yee said. “In my opinion, this outcome was pre-determined; there was no fairness in the Wells investigation whatsoever.”

Yee had been critical of the Wells Report even before Brady’s suspension was announced on Monday. When the report was originally released on May 6, Yee called it a “disappointment” and said that it omitted “key facts.”
