When athletes age, their speed and athleticism is usually the first to go. But what happens when they were never fast nor athletic to begin with?
Thirty-eight year-old Tom Brady has stated that he’d like to play 10 more NFL seasons. His numbers haven’t dipped at all because he has always done his damage from the pocket and never showcased his feet. Ten more years may be a bit ambitious, but seeing him play into his 40s doesn’t sound crazy.
“I’d like to play a long time, yeah, a long time,” Tom Brady said Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. “There’s a lot that goes into playing well. I’ve played with a lot of great teammates, but I want to play for a long time. Maybe 10 more years. I think that’s probably what my goal is.”
