According to Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer rookie running back, Dalvin Cook, suffered a torn ACL and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
He suffered the non-contact injury in the third quarter against the Detroit Lions on a run play up the middle of the field. As he attempted to make a cut to the right, his left knee gave out, and he immediately reached for it, fumbling the ball.
After only four games, Dalvin Cook ranks as the league’s third-leading rusher with 354 yards and two touchdowns.
Latavius Murray, who has been backing up Cook should be next in line to take over as running back moving forward.
