Week 12 Power Rankings

admin November 28, 2012 NFL No Comments on Week 12 Power Rankings

The Texans keep winning they keep their spot.

1

Houston Texans

Houston Texans (10-1)

Hard fought win in Detroit.  The offense is clicking but injuries on defense mean this team better not cool off before the playoffs.

2

Falcons

Atlanta Falcons (10-1)

Great game against the hot Bucs.  Come from behind on the road against a team on the rise. Nice win after a horrible win the week before.

3

San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers (8-2-1)

QB controversy in SF is made easier by an easier than expected win against the Saints. If the D keeps playing like that doesn’t matter who is at QB.

4

Patriots

New England Patriots (8-3)

No Gronk…no problem against a Jets team that imploded over 6 minutes.

5

Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens (9-2)

Thanks to Ray Rice they have the North practically sealed up.

6

Giants

New York Giants (7-4)

Looks like things were clicking for everyone against the Pack.  Losing Andre Brown could hurt them later on though if Bradshaw can’t stay healthy.

7

Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos (8-3)

Manning took some shots, but made one big play to keep the Broncos from an embarrassing loss.

8

Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears (8-3)

Minnesota fell apart early and Jay Cutler just makes this team solid.  Defense is top tier.

9

Green

Green Bay Packers (7-4)

Defense is always a question, but the offense going cold is a bad sign. better turn that around quickly.

10

Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts (7-4)

They can win at home, but on the road is still a question mark.  If they aren’t careful they might be in a tiebreaker situation for a playoff spot.

11

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals (6-5)

They are hot and putting up points against teams they should be beating.  Tough road test against a very desperate SD team this week.

12

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks (6-5)

They are just awful on the road and now guys are being suspended all over the defense for PEDs.

13

Tampa

Tampa Bay Bucs (6-5)

They almost pushed that winning streak up one more notch.  Playing solid and have  a good shot at the playoffs.  Vincent Jackson was a great pickup.

14

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5)

They are in some serious trouble.  Playoffs are a big if right now.

15

New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints (5-6)

The miracle comeback from disaster to playoff contention looks about over.  Don’t see them getting to 10-6 and if they do tie breakers will end them.

16

Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins (5-6)

RGIII was nearly perfect – again!  Guy is just playing lights out.  Gets chance number 2 against the Giants on MNF.

17

Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings (6-5)

Promising start is long forgotten now.

18

Arizona Cardinals

Miami Dolphins (5-6)

That loss to Buffalo a few weeks ago and to the jets early on will be why this team misses the playoffs.  Schedule gets very hard now.

19

Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys (5-6)

Only a  miracle will keep a lot of heads from rolling.  Don’t see that happening.

20

New York Jets

New York Jets (4-7)

When your most known fan quits it is a bad sign.  Favorable schedule over the last 5 could keep them in the discussion a few more weeks.

21

Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans (4-7)

Chance to get 1 back in the playoff race and you lose to the jags?

22

Bills

Buffalo Bills (4-7)

Looks like 13 years in a row for no playoffs and another coaching staff for next season.

23

Tennessee Titans

San Diego Chargers (4-7)

Ray Rice makes a miracle play…Norv Turner should clean out his office now.

24

St. Louis Rams

St. Louis Rams (4-6-1)

They beat the hell out of the Cardinals and Lindley.  31 points…they shoul denjoy that before going back to their 15 point average.

25

Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions (4-7)

They play tough (dirty at times), but just can’t close out games.  They can play spoiler to some teams the rest of the way.

26

Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals (4-7)

Remember when they were going to challenge in the West?  Yeah that was a long time ago.

27

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns (3-8)

They generate 8 turnovers against a depleted Steeler team which is great, but struggling to win with 8 turnovers isn’t.  Nice win for the folks in Cleveland.

28

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-9)

Chad Henne has been reborn!  Cecil Shorts, Justin Blackmon, and Mercedes Lewis are suddenly fantasy darlings.

29

Panthers

Carolina Panthers (3-8)

They beat the hell out of the Eagles and Cam Newton looked like Cam Newton.

30

Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles (3-8)

Wow…just awful.  Now Jackson is on IR and Babin is cut with reports he quit on the team.  Nice run Andy Reid…tough way to go out.

31

Raiders

Oakland Raiders (3-8)

This has to be the most disappointing team in the league – right there with the Eagles.

32

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs (1-10)

hey they still have a cool looking jumbotron over the endzone.
