Head coach of the Buffalo Sabres’, Dan Bylsma, announced on Monday that forward Evander Kane will miss four to six weeks with an MCL injury.
Evander Kane suffered the injury during Saturday’s game against the New Jersey Devils. He was hit into the corner boards by David Schlemko and immediately went down in pain.
This is tough news for Evander Kane and the Sabres. He was acquired last year from the Winnipeg Jets after a season-ending shoulder surgery. Throughout his career, Kane has struggled to stay in the lineup as various injuries have kept him off the ice. Since entering the league in 2009 Evander Kane has played no more than 74 games in a season.
The Sabres recalled Tim Schaller from their AHL affiliate on Monday.
